Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Elementary Announcements

 

1.  Today is Friday, April 20, 2018.  It is Day 4. 

2.  Happy birthday to Lilly, Estuardo, Caitlynn and Brian.  Celebrating on Sunday are Karly, Roy and Jazmyne!

3.  DARE Graduation and the 5th Grade Presentation on Social Media Safety will be held today Friday, April 20th at 1:30pm.  ALL 5th grade parents are invited to come to school for these two special events.  Jim Lester, Wright County Sheriff’s Department and Mrs. Kakacek have prepared a Parent Presentation regarding Social Media Safety.  This presentation will begin at 1:30pm and end at approximately 2:15pm.  At that time, 5th grade students and staff will come to the multi-purpose room for our DARE Graduation with Officer Terhark.

4.  4th and 5th grade students-  registration for Fall 2018 5th/6th YSF Youth Football program will be held on Monday April 30th from 6:30 – 7:30 pm at the Clarion Pizza Ranch. Players must attend registration with a parent or guardian. Registration fee is $50.00, which includes the use of equipment and uniforms for the season.  Players will be fitted for equipment at registration.  Practice will begin August 13th and games are held on Sundays beginning September 9th.  For more information, contact coordinator Lynn Seaba at 515-603-9006. 5.  Sign up has begun for City of Clarion Recreation Baseball and Softball summer programs.  Forms will be distributed to students this week and additional forms can be found on the City’s website www.clarioniowa.gov   Forms and fees are to be turned in at CITY HALL by May 7th.    Practice and game schedules will be set after May 14th, any further questions can be directed to City Hall at 532-2847.

6.  CHANGE OF DATE DUE TO WEATHER:  The 18th Annual Lake Cornelia Fun Run will now be held on May 5th at 10:30a.m. Registrations are available at the Clarion Fitness Center or emailing at clarionfitnesscenter.com to have a form sent to you.  You can also find it on the website www.fitnessports.com

7.  Lunch Menu for this week is:

      Friday – hamburger/bun, cheese slice, French fries, cucumber slices and diced pears

April 26th– chili crispito, lettuce/cheese, diced tomato/salsa, Fiesta black beans and strawberries/bananas
