FRIENDS Club is doing a Meal Kit Drive for community members who are in need of meals for this holiday season.  Items being requested:  Ham or turkey, boxed potatoes, boxed stuffing, canned veggies, packets of gravy mix, foil baking pans, powdered drink mix, pie crust & pie filling and Take ’n Bake rolls.  We want to feed at least 10 families, that is our goal.  Bring items to the CGD High School or contact the school 515-532-2895 for someone to pick up items from you.  Taking donations now and until November 14th.  Needing more boxed stuffing, canned veggies, foil pans, powdered drink mix, dinner rolls, pie filling and pie crusts.

The high school students will be attending the Veteran’s Day program today.  Following 2nd period students may go to the gym.  When the program is over, please return to your 4th period class.  A meal is being served for the community.  Students - you will eat school lunch.

The HS Band will perform today for the Veteran's Day Ceremony.  The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.  The band will begin performing pre-ceremony music at 9:45am with the ceremony officially beginning at 10am.  Band members will be absent from 2nd period to set up for the ceremony and will return to classes after they are finished moving everything back to the band room.  They should be finished moving equipment by 5th period if not earlier.  Students: No uniform required but, please dress up out of respect for nature of the ceremony.  No jeans, t-shirts, running shoes, please.

The following high school chorus students will be participating in the North Central District Honor Choir today at NIACC in Mason City: Amaya Watne, McKayla Johnson, Madison BIerl, Rillie Elston, Rebecca Dean, Thomas Klaver, Clinton Miller, Katherine Soenen.  The concert is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in the NIACC gym.  All tickets needed to be ordered online in advance.  This concert is SOLD OUT!

Monte Leichsenring is subbing for Mr. Ackerman today.  Chorus schedule: Girls, Boys, Mixed.

The HS Band will perform on Monday for the Veteran's Day Ceremony.  The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.  The band will begin performing pre-ceremony music at 9:45am with the ceremony officially beginning at 10am.

Band members will be absent from 2nd period to set up for the ceremony and will return to classes after they are finished moving everything back to the band room.  They should be finished moving equipment by 5th period if not earlier.

Students: No uniform required but, please dress up out of respect for nature of the ceremony.  No jeans, t-shirts, running shoes, please.

FRIENDS Club is doing a Meal Kit Drive for community members who are in need of meals for this holiday season.  Items being requested:  Ham or turkey, boxed potatoes, boxed stuffing, canned veggies, packets of gravy mix, foil baking pans, powdered drink mix, pie crust & pie filling and Take ’n Bake rolls.  We want to feed at least 10 families, that is our goal.  Bring items to the CGD High School or contact the school 515-532-2895 for someone to pick up items from you.  Taking donations now and until November 14th.  Needing more boxed stuffing, canned veggies, foil pans, powdered drink mix, dinner rolls, pie filling and pie crusts.

The Spanish Club is selling Advent Calendars to raise money for their Costa Rica trip.  Cost is $5.00.

After-Prom will have a meeting on Thursday evening November 15th, at 7:00 p.m. at the Pizza Ranch.  All Junior parents are encouraged to attend!

CGD Sports Boosters are also selling Basketball and Athletic shirts for the upcoming 2018 season.  Order forms are available in the high school office or at Preppy Farmer’s downtown.  Orders are due by Thursday Nov. 15th at 3:00 p.m.  Turn around is about 2 weeks.  Orders can be picked up at the High School on Friday, Nov. 30th after school.  Additional orders can be placed after the 15th but an additional fee will be added.  If you have any questions please contact Tammie Beisel at 712-266-6488.
