Come check out skillfully decorated trees by local businesses, crafts and coloring for the kids, and delicious treats at our bake sale!

Thank you to Nathan Stuck, Billy Stuck, and Kimberly Rauch for playing their instruments at Community Caroling on Thursday evening.  Also, thank you to Amaya Watne and Madison Bierl for singing carols.  You brightened the holidays for several residents/patients in the Meadows, Assisted Living, Iowa Specialty Hospital, and the care center.  Also, thank you to Tom Simmons and his entire family who surprised him on his last caroling event.  33 students and adults attended on Thursday night.  Awesome job!!!

    New pottery display in a new area!  The pottery display has been moved to the display case in the library outside Mr. Katz’s office!  Stop by and check out work by Pottery 1 and Pottery 3 students!  This is where pottery will be displayed from now on.  Enjoy!

    "All art students - a reminder as we get towards the end of the semester and final project deadlines are approaching. There have been many absences lately and time in the semester is running out! - Mrs. Walker stays late on Monday evenings until 5:00 pm - plan ahead and come in and work! Also today she will be staying late as an opportunity for students to come in and work. If you have after school activities or work come in in the morning. Mrs. Walker is at school before 7:30.

Mrs. Walker has photo packets that contain pictures of the trip for each of you.  Nicole Askvig was kind enough to print a copy for each student. Please check stop by Mrs. Walker's room to get your packet. If your parent went on the trip as a chaperone, their packet of photos will be with yours. Please thank Mrs. Askvig for her generosity of getting copies of each photo for everyone who went on the trip." 

    Students....do you knit or crochet?  Do you want to learn how to?  Join us in Mrs. Leist classroom on Wednesday at1:30 to learn more and to try your skills at these two fun activities!  Cookies and cider will be provided!  Knitting needles and crochet hooks will be available along with some yarn!

    Student taking college classes: TODAY is the last day to drop a college class.  After the 21st, you will have to complete the class and take the grade you earn.  This includes both dual credit classes taken in our building and FlexNet class.

    The year book cover has been selected! - Congratulations to Matthew Jacobsen for designing the winning cover for this year's theme - CGD Countdown! - 

    Thank you all who voted for the murals that will be painted in the library entrance. 110 people voted! The winning murals are:  Dreams Mural - with the dragon reading the book and the Ocean themed mural - with a host of ocean creatures. Advanced Art students will be starting on these murals as soon as paint arrives! 

    High school select choir audition update:  Mr. Ackerman has had 9 chorus students show up for auditions.  We really need more altos and guys to have a group this year.  Auditions will continue Tuesday morning, Nov. 21 (7:30-8:15 a.m.). If we have enough students to have a group, rehearsals will be EVERY Tuesday and Friday morning (7:30-8:15 a.m.)
