Congratulations to the Band students who performed last night at the Solo & Ensemble Festival.  You all worked hard, were well prepared, performed to the best of your ability, and well very successful!

One of the goals for hosting our own solo festival was to see a larger amount of family and friends attend to watch the students perform.  It is important to support our arts and music students.  If you did not attend, I would recommend it for the future.  These students are doing amazing things!  We were able to meet this goal and hope to see even more family and friends attend in future years.  Thanks to everyone who came out to support the music students last night.

The Individual Speech Team did a GREAT job last night at the State Individual Speech contest in Forest City. The numbers don't tell the entire story. The courage, growth, team spirit, and CGD pride shone in the fog last night. Well done all! - Coach Tamara EnTin

HS Band & Choir Students:  You performed a wonderful concert last night full of entertaining and fun music.  It is not easy being a musician but it is very rewarding when we perform like we did last night.  Thank you to the parents and the audience last night.  You make a difference!

Also, it was a great way to kick off March "Music in Our Schools Month"!  The purpose of Music in Our Schools Month (MIOSM) is to raise awareness of the importance of music education for all children – and to remind citizens that school is where all children should have access to music.  MIOSM is an opportunity for music teachers to bring their music programs to the attention of the school and the community, and to display the benefits that school music brings to students of all ages.
MIOSM and the events surrounding it are the ideal opportunities for increasing awareness of the benefits of high-quality music education programs in our nation’s schools.
Thank you students, for your hard work and dedication!
